General Steam Navigation Coach Tours

The General Steam Navigation Locomotive Restoration Society occasionally organise fundraising Coach Tours, with the kind support and cooperation of Pewsey Vale Coaches. For any GSNLRS members on the tour a £30 donation will be made to the Society.

Our current tour is detailed below:

 Friday 15^th - Monday 18th August 2025 - Steam trains of the South West 

Conveniently situated near the seafront in Torquay the Derwent Hotel makes a great base for our tour plus there’s bingo, fantastic shows from the in-house entertainment team and top local cabaret acts, so you can dance the night away, or simply sit back and enjoy the atmosphere!

• Day One We travel to with a lunch stop in Burnham on sea before heading on to Torbay.
• Day Two. We head to Buckfastleigh for a return trip on the delightful South Devon Railway
• Day Three. We head down to Cornwall & visit the steeply graded Bodmin & Wenford Railway for a return journey from Bodmin to Boscarne Junction.
• Day Four. After breakfast we enjoy a return trip on the Paignton & Dartmouth Railway before heading home.
